Well these pictures are a little out of order but oh well. This is the last half of may. Yes, I am that behind in posting. I have been a little busy this summer. I am working pretty much full time and trying to keep up with the little ones and the house. It has been a good summer but is going by way to fast!

5*18*10 Cedar's first trip to the zoo. Jamey and I actually had a Tuesday where we were both off work so we made a last minute decision to go to the Tulsa zoo. The twins would have been just as happy with any large open area to walk and run. We did get to see much more of their little personalities which is so fun! Calla is our little miss independent. She would not hold my hand for anything! She was going to walk all by herself and that was that! I figured out that I could lead her in the right direction with her head. :-) Carter held daddy's hand and was perfectly happy. That kid loves sticks, everywhere we go he has to pick up sticks and carry them around. So he got a stick and daddy's hand and was happy. Cedar was really just along for the ride and did very well.
5*29*10 We had a yard sale and the kids wanted to join the fun (yeah right) so they sat in their little booster seats and played for a while. It was sunny and hot so they had to wear their shades. It was really cute and entertaining for our customers.

5*28*10 Dear Crayola- Thank you for making washable markers! They LOVE to color and washable markers are awesome! It washes off with just water and that is a really good thing since every time they color it ends up head to toe, them and what ever is around them.

5*24*10

Our trip to the park. I have really wanted to take them to the park this summer but knew that now with Cedar, I could not do it alone. Man was I right! Maw-Maw agreed to come with and help. I can not believe how much trouble it is to leave our house with the three of them. I feel like they (and we) are missing our on so much because it takes an act of congress to get out of the house. I know it will get better soon but for now we may skip the park next time. I love this picture of my mom and Cedar. The twins love to swing and play in the sand. I will say that parks are dirty dirty places. Trash and cigarette butts everywhere and I think that was a "clean park".

5*22*10

On this day we went to our friend Hannah's first birthday party. Again, maw maw had to come and help and this time we were just going across the street. Still A LOT of work. The twins had a blast!

YES, my living room looks like this everyday and most days much worse. There are toys everywhere and I think that I just give up on seeing the floor anytime soon. We pick them up at night and it takes them about 2 minutes to bring them all out again. (Leslie I am sure that you can relate) . Now Cedar has toys too and that just adds to the mess. In this picture they were telling me it was time for a nap. I love it when they are willing, makes it so much easier.

The first half of May

5*13*10 I had to take picture of their matching outfits. They were too cute! (Marcy if you are reading this, that ribbon in Carter's hand came off the birth announcements you made for cedar and it has been a favorite ever since. :-) )
5*13*10

5*13*10 Carter was patting him on the bottom, it was so cute. They think that they also need to burp the baby. They even burp their sock monkeys. Too cute.

5*10*10 They love this little tyke table. They got it for their first birthday. Now this might be the only time that they have sat properly at it. Usually they are moving it around the room or sitting and standing (eek) on top of it. Carter has used it to crawl onto the dining room table. :-)

5*9*10

5*9*10 Aunt Shelley brought a wagon over for Carter and Calla. They love it. They got pulled up and down the street and they just sat in awe and looked around. I guess they have only seen the neighborhood from the stroller before now so this was a new freedom for them.

5*9*10 Mothers Day! We had a really good day. Mommy got a new pair of shoes which is always nice! Two wonderful cards. My mom and the England's came over and we had Sub sandwiches. It was really nice. I love getting our family all together.

Cedar's New Stats

Cedar is now four months old! He went to the Dr last week, June 24Th, for his four month check up and he is of course, Perfect! He has a little reflux, but I am convinced that ALL babies do. Other than that he is in perfect health and we are so pleased! He has hit all of his milestones at this point, he just has to learn to roll over. I think it might be a while because he really likes to just lay on his side and watch what is going on around him. The twins provide him with constant entertainment. They both recently have decided that they love him and love to kiss and hug him. It is too cute! Here is the newest stats.
Wt 15lb 13.5oz (66%)
Ht 24.1 inches (17%) Sorry cedar I guess you got my height issue!
Head 43cm and we get to blame the Bowling's for that! :-)
Now in writing this I realize that I never put in the twins stats from their last appointment as well. They went in May on the 28Th at 17 months of age.
Carter James
Wt 26lb 10oz (67%)
Ht 31.5 inches (38%)
Head 50 cm
He is doing great! He has allergies to foods so the Dr sent us to the allergy Dr. We also went last week. We really liked her, Dr. Campbell in Rogers. She is great and Carter flirted with her. He does like the ladies! I do however think it was a waste of money, they just confirmed what we already knew that he is allergies to peanuts and we thought he was allergic to corn but that test did not react so who knows what it really is. They did some blood work, maybe that will tell us more. But for sure, no one, feed the kid peanuts!
Calla Elizabeth
Wt 20 lb (4%)
Ht 30 inches (16%)
Head 48 cm
Calla is in perfect health. The Dr thinks she is too little and that we need to increase her calories. But what he doesn't seem to understand is that she eats very well and has lots of energy. He wanted us to give her pediasure once a day instead of her milk but when I did that she hated it and stopped drinking her milk too because she thought it was that yucky sweet stuff. SOOO I am not going to listen to the dr. I am going to listen to my mommy instincts that she is just fine. As long as she eats good and has energy I am not going to worry about her!

Trip to Northeast Arkansas

On May 2nd and 3rd, we took a quick trip to see granddad. Before children I would have never guessed how incredibly hard traveling would be with children. After we packed the entire house it seemed like to go there, the night we left, it rained something awful. We got to russelville and found out that there was a tornado warning in Little Rock, the way we were going. We had planned to drive at night so the kids could sleep. Well, I am terrified of bad weather so I talked Jamey into stopping, so we spent the night in Russelville. This is how we found out that Calla is SCARED to death of new places. She literally cried ALL night. It was awful! We were about to loose our minds! Jamey was very sweet and had much more patience than I did for sure. He several times took her in the car and drove her around to calm her down. This was like 2am, 3am, and who knows what other time. I was ready to pack up and go back home! But we really wanted to visit our granddad so off we went and we were all so glad we did. I have been blessed with the best granddad! He loves the kids, they love him and I am so glad that he gets to be a part of their lives. I just wish lived closer. :-)

Carter and his great granddad!
This is the coffee table that has always been in my grandparents living room. There are two doors on it and when Shelley and I were little, every time we would visit the table would be filled with color books and toys. It was so much fun! It was sweet to see my kids getting into it and stuffing their toys in as well. Having children now, I realize why this became our spot for toys. I am sure that we got on their nerves enough times getting into it, that they just gave up. :-)

Granddad always takes them out to the swing on the front porch. I love that swing, I especially did as a kid.

Cedar meets his great granddad!

Now all the babies in the family have taken a bath in granddads sink. It really works out very well with little ones.

Cedar meets his Aunt Alyce. Aunt Alyce, Uncle Tom, and Aunt Peggy took pity on us with the load we had and came to see us while we were there so that we did not have to travel any further with the little ones. (THANK YOU!) It was so great to see them and we were glad that they got to meet Cedar.

Aunt Peggy with Cedar.

I am usually the one taking the pictures so I cherish this one. Our kids mean so much to us and I enjoy every minute with them!

May 2010

May brought new challenges with the twins. Carter has learned how to open doors and wants to open them all, all the time! They want to stand on everything, after they have climbed on top of whatever that might be. They have climbed it all: the dining room table, the TV table, the sofas and chairs. I am crossing my fingers that they don't figure out that they can crawl out of their cribs. Calla is still slow on getting teeth, she is just now getting her first molar and her front four are still the only ones all the way in and the four next to them are slowly surfacing. She is our little rabbit. Carter on the other hand has an entire mouth full, at least 12 that I know of for sure and more on the way. They are both starting to talk, Calla much more than Carter. He is happy with his jibber jabber and she is more interested in figuring our words. Time for mommy and daddy to watch what they say in front of them, that is for sure. They love to play in the tub and outside. If I say either word they get really excited. The fight for each others toys is on and I can only imagine how long that will last. The love for their baby brother is something they have in common but they show it different ways. Carter enjoys wiping his drool and patting him on the head. He sometimes tries to pick him up. Calla enjoys giving him his paci, even if he doesn't want it. She tickles him and pats his back to help burp him. It really is very sweet. We tried to go down to one nap per day, however within a week we were back to two. They aren't quite ready for that. I am not quite ready for that! They still sometimes only sleep for one but "rest" for the other. We all are much happier that way. That is all I can think to update for the month of May and more pictures will follow.

Cedar's Stats

So I am a little behind on keeping this up to date. Cedar had his two month appointment on April 23rd. Since I am just now finishing April on the blog with pictures, I guess its only fitting that I add this in as well. :-)

Wt 12 lb 10.5 oz

Ht 21.5 inches

Head 40 cm (yes that is a Bowling head, they all have large heads)

He actually has his four month appt this week. It is so crazy how fast time goes by with little ones in your life!

End of April

4*29 The kids LOVE to be outside! Even Cedar! The Bowling's came to see us a while back and helped us to build a fence across out back yard to separate the dog area from the kid area. It is so nice to be outside and not to worry about them picking up doggy poo and eating it. :-)
Carter has to go over and check out this outlet almost every time we are out there. Maybe an electrical future?

4*29 Calla enjoys walking around the yard and exploring everything she can touch. Her favorite might be a sliding door that daddy has on the side of his big grill.
4*26 Yes, this drawer is now on the honey do list for daddy to fix. It must not have been built to hold kids. It did provide a fun filled hour for the twins, so it was worth it!

4*26 Our little pea, Cedar.

4*26 Carter

4*26
Calla in the tent that now sits in our living room. Who knew these little ones would take over our house? I guess that is just one of those things that you get used to. Its hard to really remember what our home looked like when there were no toys. When we first got this tent Carter would not go in it because the floor crinkled and made noise when you walked on it. It must have scared him. We had to put a quilt on the floor so that he would enjoy it. Now they both love it and being the boy that he is he tries to take it apart.

4*22 Getting in some tummy time. It is hard to get in enough of it due to the other two wanting to sit on him, walk on him, pat him, smack him, or the many other unpleasant things that they try to do to their baby brother.

April

4-21 The kids get so excited when daddy gets home at night. Half the time they are already in bed. When Calla hears the garage door open, she gets super excited, smiles and starts breathing really fast, similar to a dog really. She runs to the door all bouncy, so sweet!
4-18 When the twins were born, we received some hand me downs from the Bowling's. The vest and boots. Now we are not really cowboy type people so I really had forgotten about them until now, but man did we time it right. They both fit and fit perfect. We added the cowboy hat, which is mine and the bouncy horse fit right in. He seemed to really like being a cowboy for the afternoon.

4-18 On my birthday we had friends over. Thankfully they came to our house to celebrate, making it sooooo much easier on us. (Thank you everyone who came!) It was so much fun to get the kids together. Hannah, Carter, and Calla were looking out the back door. I think that Hannah might have a little crush on Carter. :-)

4-18 Hayden meeting Cedar. Hayden is so good with babies. He has had lots of practice with his own baby brother, Blake. Cedar had a good time getting to know everyone. (so, if you look to the left in the picture..... I promise that is not a bottle nipple on a bud light! The bottle is sitting behind the beer. I just noticed that! Hehehe!)

4-18 Hayden ran in the door and went right to the twins room to play with Carter. He sat down and was going to read him a book. Funny thing is that I think that Carter was actually more attentive for this story than he is for daddy and me.

4-18 Oh yes, another year older. Thanks Holly for the great cake (my favorite)! And Thanks Katy for the flowers!

4-16 Cedar loves his monkey. He fell asleep in the swing and when I went back to check on him the monkey was closer to him and Cedar had his hand on the monkeys hand, so cute!!

4-14 Cedar and I went to meet our newest friend Turner on this day. They are six weeks apart. Here Turner is two weeks and Cedar is 8 weeks. He looks like a giant baby in comparison. Welcome to the world Turner, hopefully we will all be great friends!

4-11 The boys have a few matching outfits. I had to get a picture! Now without help, it is SUPER hard to get a picture of a 7 week old and a 16 month old and it be good. This is the best out of several. Carter had also just been outside so he was all sweaty. He loves his brother!

Maw-Maws camera

Here are a few cute pictures that were on my moms camera. She watches my kids (thank god for grandma!) a couple of days a week while I work. They all have so much fun!

5-15 - The kids have a ball pit but hey why stop there? They love to play with the balls. Carter of course now likes to throw them. I am glad that he has new skills but some are not my favorite and throwing things is one on the "not favorite" list. Sad thing is that it is on his "favorite" list right now. This too, shall pass! Carter helped fill the bucket with balls on top of Calla, this was super fun!
5-2 Went to my granddads to introduce him to Cedar. The twins had so much fun. It was a huge challenge for the adults involved due to the house not being child proof. My granddad is awesome and I am so glad that my children are getting to know him!

5-17 Our riding toys! The twins still have not figured out how to go forward, only backwards. I think it is coming soon for Calla and I dont think that Carter really cares. He is more excited to push the buttons to make the noises.
