Carter and Calla did not really like the ocean. We did go down there a few times, but I think that it was just a little big and loud for them. The pool at the condo we stayed at was heated so to the kids it was one huge bathtub. They loved it. The first day they just really floated and relaxed taking it all in but by the last time we were in the pool they were splashing and really having a good time. 
Carter's floaty was the perfect one for him. He grabbed the steering wheel and honked the horn. I see some speeding in his future, after all he is a Bowling male. :-) or maybe I should put :-( for the nervous mommy to think of him driving, ever!
Calla loved hers too! She just would sit back and relax. She just enjoyed the day and the action around her.
